The above Tip factors mostly into my preferred playstyle, having always equipped the Lumberjack Outfit which provides an outstanding +10% to Attack Speed.

When entering Cold or Hot biomes, you should equip the Fur Hat (-10☌) or Cowboy Hat (+5☌) first, followed by the Hot Water Bottle (-5☌) or Ice Brick (+5☌) before choosing the Winter Coat (-15☌) or Safari Outfit (+15☌).

Personally, I equip a 3rd only when I need it. You only really need your best Blunt and Slashing weapons.
